Our Services

The construction process is simplified as detailed drawings and specifications assist in the communication process with all parties. Our design services include the following:

• Interior architectural design
• Initial design studies for preliminary plan
• Space planning: Preparation of the internal layout of rooms with measurements taken or confirmed by the Designer
• Construction detailing - Preparation of plans to BC Building Code, including wall dimensions, electrical and plumbing, lighting and reflected ceiling and cabinetry located
• Preparation of drawings and other materials illustrating design concept colour schemes floor coverings wall coverings ceiling and window treatments as specified in the Finish Schedule
• 4 sets of Blueprints are included or a PDF of plans will be supplied to contractors
• Colour scheme, design concept
• Paint & Wall coverings - selection & specifying walls
  
• Flooring selection and layout - (tile, carpet, vinyl, wood, etc.)
• Detailed cabinetry drawings: including elevations and sections and any custom design of cabinets, in all cabinetry throughout the office.
• Cabinetry- (laminates, wood, metals)
• Cabinet surfaces – (stone, laminate, quartzite, solid surface etc.)
• Cabinet Hardware – knobs, pulls, hinges, special use cabinets
• Lighting - Selection of all decorative and functional lighting & layout
• Plumbing - Selection of all plumbing fixtures, & appliances (Clinic, Lab, Sterilization, Washroom, Staff room, etc)
• Audio visual and IT integration
• Crown Moulding and Trim - anything that requires a finish profile and location of trims & base.
• Art and accessory- selection and installation
• Furniture- selection and installation, (staff lunch rm. seating, reception seating & tables, task chairs, Dr & consult chairs)
• Upholstery and re upholstery
• Product advice
• Consultations with third parties employed by the client
• Kiliban Designs is not responsible for obtaining the Permit
• NOT included are any engineered drawings required by the Building management or the City

Cindy Stiffon

Cindy has worked in a variety of areas since 1985, including Luxury residential, Spa style healthcare offices, contract office interiors, new condominium construction and display suites, retail and renovation which includes all the working drawings and detailing associated with them.

Cindy received her training at Douglas College and holds an Associate of Interior design Degree.  Cindy also has her AutoCAD Mastery I from Douglas College.  Cindy remains current with both industry standards (BC building Code) and decor trends through continuing education.  Cindy is pursuing her love of Art by producing stunningly beautiful photography which she has developed for many of her recent projects.

Kandys Merola

A full service Interior Designer, Kandys is an Honours graduate of the “Choices Interior Design program” Vancouver and is a member of the Canadian Decorators Association CDECA. Kandys is also a graduate of BCIT “Marketing program” and has successfully completed the AutoCAD I program at BCIT. Kandys continues to pursue her creative abilities by refining her drawing, painting and printmaking interests at Capilano University. Her varied experience and education allows her to provide you a full range of services through Kiliban Designs.

Our Process

“How we work with you”

Kandys begins this process by determining your preferences and exploring your personal style, enroute to developing your design plan. Then depending on your likes/wants/needs a very specific decorating plan begins. Measurements and specs are taken. The next step is arranged upon approval of proceeding where a more detailed plan, concept overview and goal setting is discussed. Generally including samples as well as recommendations for all aspects covered in the initial consultation. Plan implementation and design boards ready for your approval. Budget, and sourcing products and trades has been completed by this point. Now you are clear on exactly how your space will look.
